Mixed use development comprising of 63,000 sq ft including 132 bed hotel and restaurant for Premier Inn with 4,500 sq ft retail unit at ground floor for Tesco Stores.

The building is situated overlooking Prince of Wales Dock, Swansea, SA1. To facilitate the economic benefit of utilizing vibro stabilized ground treatment with rigid reinforced raft foundations, the superstructure of the six storey building consists of two storey of a reinforced insitu concrete frame with transfer structure at second floor supporting a lightweight four storey timber frame structure.

The building is externally clad with a mixture of feature glazing, rendered blockwork and dressed stone.

Due to the topography of site levels and existing foul drainage infrastructure in the adjacent road a private foul pumping chamber has been designed, however where possible, due to the height of the building gravity foul drainage has been utilized to reduce initial unit size, cost and long term operation.
