Welsh National Football Centre And Head Quarters, Newport
The project comprises of a two storey National Football centre and head quarter building for the Football Association Wales located at the International Sports Village, Dragon Park, Newport.
The facility includes three training pitches and will be a base for the Welsh Football Trust.
UEFA President, Michel Platini and First Minister of Wales, Carwyn Jones attended the buildings official opening.
The building has a dual purpose ground floor level comprising of changing rooms for player from various national squads, these include both male and female squads, as well as those with disabilities, their coaches and officials.
This level also incorporates multi-purpose recreational, seminar and conference room and some office accommodation.
The first floor level consists predominantly of office accommodation, a board room with associated view of the balcony over looking the new training pitch.
The scheme includes the creation of new parking facilities to replace those lost as consequence of the construction of the new building in the vicinity of the existing skate park and leisure centre.
